Events and Programs

Throughout the academic year, the Department of Marketing hosts more than 30 events and programs that aim to provide value for students and alumni. Our events are often planned and hosted in partnership with corporate and local employers and marketing professionals who represent various industries and career levels. Each quarter, we organize career panels, celebrations, conferences, career expos, networking events and more.

Network and find internship opportunities with program partners at the Center for Sales Leadership: 3M, PepsiCo, C.H. Robinson, Topco and more. This event takes place in the fall quarter.

Digital Marketing Career Networking Event

Join this career event to connect with employers who are hiring for internships and entry-level positions, and engage with them for career networking and mentorship. Our students at previous digital marketing events have made connections leading to jobs and ongoing relationships. This event takes place in the winter quarter.

Annual Kellstadt Marketing Symposium

Hosted by the Kellstadt Marketing Group (KMG), a graduate business student organization at DePaul, this annual event features a day of keynote presentations, TED Talk-style speeches, and panel discussions with CEOs and high-level executives in the marketing field. This event takes place in the spring quarter.

In addition to our larger annual events, the Department of Marketing also organizes more opportunities for students to network and grow their careers. Learn more below.

  • Marketing Careers Tricks and Treats: This event celebrates the Halloween holiday with marketing faculty and students in a spooky but sweet celebration with career development sessions. Games and giveaways are included!
  • How to Find a Job for International Students: Hosted by the Kellstadt Marketing Group, the goal of this panel event is to help DePaul international students understand Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT), steps in an international student’s journey, plus navigating the legal landscape of H-1B visas.
  • Bringing Diversity to the Workplace Panel: This panel discussion highlights business professionals' experiences on how they're helping to make a lasting impact in the workplace in diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Annual KMG Case Competition: This Kellstadt Marketing Group event is an annual case competition sponsored by different corporate organizations. Graduate students work in teams to develop a solution, present recommendations, and receive feedback from senior leadership.
  • Leading Women in Business Panel: Hear from leading women in business who share their career stories and advice on how to succeed in the business world.
  • Marketing Leaders Community Spring event: Hosted by the Marketing Leaders Community, a business student organization comprised of students and alumni from the MS in Marketing and MS in Marketing Analysis programs. This event celebrates the end of the school year with food and networking.
  • End-of-the-Year Celebration: All marketing undergraduate and graduate students are invited to celebrate the end of the academic year with marketing faculty and peers. Graduating seniors are invited to a special after-party celebration with food and beverages.
